Monster Animator

Michael Greenholt was the Animation Supervisor for Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast, and he is also my son-in-law. This has afforded me some opportunities to speak with him in person about his work (especially upcoming projects) and these conversations have left me feeling rather impatient to see his future products.

Take, for example the above illustration for a somewhat amorphous project he has been developing for many years called Phil and Eugene (which I have lazily dubbed, "The Frog People"). Every time, I see one of these illustrations, the little boy inside me cries out for the rest of the story. I like how even his still drawings seem to be moving.

Then there is this similarly intriguing tease from Moon Cactus Loves Science Girl. Come on, Mike. Please put me out of my misery.

Okay, my readers get the idea. I want to see the finished products, and I've only mentioned a couple of his individual efforts. Mike works as an animator at DisneyToon Studios (credit for the above photo: Disney). If he ever starts a funding campaign to finish any of his side projects, please consider chipping in. Then, maybe, my wish will come true. To tease yourself, look on his WEBPAGE to see some more examples of his art.
